Busy with no results!

Quote for Today:

“Why is it, that we are so busy, yet not much is being done for eternity?”

For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. 2 Thessalonians 3:11

We always talk about how busy we are, and how we wish that things would slow down some. At times we feel like we are on a roller coaster ride and can’t get off! Most of you know what I’m talking about and yet for some reason we stay on the ride!

You see, God does not care so much that you are on the ride, as much as He cares about what you are doing while on the ride. The verse above talks of busybodies or people that are always busy, but with little to show for all their busyness! What will count for eternity in our lives when we stand before God one day soon? Will we be known as someone that just kept busy, or will we be known for the eternal impact in this world that we had?

There has never been a day before today that we have had the technology that is available for us today. Yet, we seem to not accomplish any more in these days and we may even be accomplishing less! All the things that are suppose to be saving us time are actually taking up more of our time and leaving less to serve the Lord! We talk of how we are saving time by using different things on the internet yet we end up wasting more of our precious time doing those things.

It’s not how busy we are, but what are we doing with those so called, busy times?

Busyness does not equal treasures in heaven.

Three simple questions to ask yourself:

1. In the last week, how did I impact eternity?

2. When people see my life, what would they say that I live for?

3. Is God pleased with my level of involvement in His work?

Busybody, Or pleasing God....?
